As each day brings rapidly changing developments rippling across the globe, there is only one thing that remains certain: we are indeed living in a challenging time. When the news first broke of the COVID-19 spread in China, our hearts went out to those affected. Now, as it spreads across the globe taking its tragic human toll and inflicting emotional and financial trauma, it is clear that we are up against a formidable foe. However, as so often happens with difficult circumstances, there are moments of pure beauty that remind us of the resilience of the human spirit. Whether it’s Romans singing from their windows or a fitness trainer holding a rooftop exercise class in Spain, we will indeed get through this—together.

Community is what defines us, whether it is an ecolodge in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia, a mountain village in Nepal, or our U.S office in New Jersey. While travel may be prohibited, restricted, or not in the forefront of our minds at the moment, we wanted to reach out to share what we are doing and to remind you that as essential as it is to stay home now to mitigate the spread of the infection, it will be just as important to get out there and see the world again in due time. We are asking all of our travelers, when financially possible, to postpone instead of canceling to help save the most severely impacted and largest industry in the world—travel and tourism.

Below are some of the steps we have taken to ensure added peace of mind for our clients in these trying times:

Penalty-Free Planning

We’re living in uncertain times, but we’re changing that. Book with us any trip for 2020 and cancel for any reason up to 60 days prior departure and you’ll receive a full refund. If you need to cancel within 60 days of departure, a 100% of your payment will be credited to a future trip across any of our destination valid through 2021.

You Deserve All The Credit

If you decide to postpone your trip, we will credit 100% of your payment towards your rescheduled trip through 2021.

No Price Increases

You booked a 2020 spring or summer trip with us? If you decide to reschedule to fall 2020 or to 2021, you will not see any price increases (typically prices go up each year).

The Health and Safety of Our People

As we have taken great measures to ensure the safety of our travelers, we have taken additional steps to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff. All of our employees are working from home in compliance with state and federal advisories. While we all work together to contain the spread, our staff is on hand to answer any questions you may have about upcoming travel. We are here to support and serve you during our regular office hours. Please email us or call us 800-998-6634 or 609-860-9008.

Consult with Destination Experts

Many countries have now imposed temporary entry restrictions for international arrivals, and governments are advising against all but essential travel to some destinations. Don’t worry about trying to make sense of it all—our staff are well informed on the situations on the ground across all of our destinations.

Closing Thoughts

As intrepid explorers who pioneered travel to some of the most far-flung reaches of the world, Nomadic Expeditions understands that great challenges often result in positive changes. It is our hope that we will emerge from this difficult time stronger and more united. Stay safe and healthy, and trust that the world is indeed waiting for you.

Best wishes,
