The Land of Big Cats
Featuring: Asiatic Lions, Royal Bengal Tigers, and Spotted Leopards
Home to six majestic big cat species, India offers wildlife encounters found nowhere else on Earth. This journey presents a rare opportunity to witness three of these iconic cats in their natural habitats, set against some of the country’s most striking landscapes.
Begin in the rugged scrublands of Gir National Park, the last refuge of the Asiatic lion and a powerful symbol of India’s conservation success. Seeing these lions roam freely in their ancestral home creates a
profound connection to the wild.
Continue into the teak forests of Kanha National Park, one of the world’s premier destinations for spotting the elusive Royal Bengal tiger. From there, travel to the dramatic rocky hills of Narlai in Rajasthan, home to the spotted leopard, a master of camouflage and stealth. In this remarkable region, leopards live alongside local villagers, reflecting a long-standing cultural respect for wildlife. This is more than a wildlife tour. It is an immersive journey into India’s wild heart, where ancient landscapes, living traditions, and conservation achievements come together.

Starting with the waterfront Gateway of India monument, an impressive 85-feet high arch built by the British in 1924 to serve as a ceremonial entrance to the country. When India gained its independence in 1948, the last British battalion formally passed through the Gateway. Drive past Chhatrapati Sivaji Terminus, an impressive Gothic building and UNESCO World Heritage Site that replaced the original station where India’s first train ran in 1853. With its elaborate carvings, buttresses, spires, turrets, and stained glass, it more closely resembles a palatial complex than a train station.

Mumbai | Diu
On arrival at the Diu airport, we continue by road for approximately 2.5 hours to reach Sasangir National Park, renowned for its population of Asiatic lions, as well as wildlife such as wild boar and deer.
